Latin Dancing Workshop

September 22, 2018 //  by Lynn Tulip//  Leave a Comment

Book Now

Although Latin dance has been evolved and modified over the centuries, it is mainly derived from three styles: Native American, European, and African influences. The workshops aims to provide a brief introduction for beginners:

The Cha Cha Cha is a popular social dance characterised by the “cha-cha-cha” rhythm during the ‘chassé’ (side-close-side step). The name of this dance is said to arise from the sound of sandals slapping against the floor in the cha cha chassé. Cha Cha is a lively, fun, cheeky and playful dance.

Hosted by Tracy Brooks, Senior Instructor & Principal of Horsham Dancers Club, Tracy has been dancing over 40 years and teaching just over 25 years. She is a Fellow and Examiner for UKAdance and licensed BDC Scrutineer.

All ages welcome, a partner is not essential but desirable
