Limepalm Drama Club performance

Limepalm’s young actors will perform extracts from “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany & Jack Thorne and “The Witches” by Roald Dahl.

Our LAMDA Speech and Drama and Acting students will also perform a selection of poetry, prose and acting.

The Memory Man

Saturday / 12:30-1pm and 2:30-3pm / High Street

A man is forced out of his home, leaving his friends, family and community. He chooses 10 of his most treasured possessions to take with him to remind him of the life he is leaving behind.

Using humour, stories and circus, this fiercely energetic show looks at what it means to be pushed out of what we know to an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar faces.

Memory Man was commissioned by The Basingstoke Festival and Supported by Arts Council England. The initial production was directed by John Wright and designed by The Flying Butresses. There will be further development on Memory Man in 2018 with support from Applause Rural Touring.

Once Upon a Rebel Girl

What makes a rebel and how much fun can they have in the theatre?

This new show, currently in development, celebrates the spirit and stories of inspiring and empowering women and these true fairy tales are for heroines and heroes who definitely don’t need rescuing.

“Austen Sisters”

A dramatic and entertaining solo literary recital of readings from Jane and Cassandra Austen’s letters, prose and poetry about sisters, compiled and performed by Hampshire actress and speaker Rowan Suart, illustrating Jane’s life from an early age and her preoccupation with sisters in her work.

An opportunity for any younger performers interested in exploring drama to join us for a fun, informal taster session where we explore what we do in our regular sessions using games, songs and drama exercises. Led by Susie Leppard and Holly Seymour. No performance experience necessary. All welcome!

Please bring a water bottle and comfortable clothes for the workshops. Parents are encouraged to leave their child for the session. Both Holly and Susie have full DBS checks.

Unbelievable, is this the best ever?  The #LAF2018 team have been working very hard this year and with good intentions. There are only a few weeks to go but there is already a complete varied programme – which you can find here.

If you explore the website you can see that you can reserve spaces in the workshops and buy tickets for the events as needed.

Innovative way of managing food!

Too Many Cook​s is a sizzlingly sumptuous show jam packed with tasty tunes, popping puppets and a lot of silly sausages!

Part walkabout and part theatre show, this culinary delight will get your taste buds going. Suitable for Children and their families, aged 0-100. Too Many Cook​s from Hand Made Theatre explores the recent boom in food inspired TV shows, festivals and artisan culture of anything from coffee to sausages!

The team will be bring many characters to life through stories and puppetry and a lot of explosive silliness!

Look out for the shows on The High Street at 11.30am and 1.30pm

HandMade Theatre are excited to be creating a brand new show for summer 2018. Too Many Cooks is a play on the recent boom in food inspired TV shows, festivals and an artisan culture in anything from tea to cheese! In this tasty show we will play with the many characters found in the food industry and bring them to life in a fun and interactive way.

This new show has been commissioned by Applause rural touring and is supported by Arts Council England Grants for The Arts.

A one man show about memory and the significance of loss.  See the Memory Man perform in the High Street at 12.30pm and 2.30pm
