U CAN Spray Workshops

September 18, 2018 //  by Lynn Tulip//  Leave a Comment

Saturday / 10-4pm / Tamasha Courtyard

Fun for all ages. There’s sure to be a long queue.  Something Lindfield has not seen before and by supporting this activity, YOU will help others to take part in special workshops for disengaged or vulnerable individuals; as we run a not-for-profit format.

Book Now  Reserve your space in advance – this is likely to be very busy, and you will be able to go to the front of the queue.
All materials provided plus an artist to guide you- This is an activity for 8 years and above, younger children may attend with a parent present. Adults also enjoy this experience and it’s not just for young people!

‘U CAN Spray CIO’ is the UK’s first dedicated spray-painting charity, we regularly attend festivals and events. We create safe and inspiring pop-up environments for visitors to engage in a spray-painting activity for both experienced artists and ANYONE who hasn’t had the opportunity or skills to try yet.

Today is Lindfield Villae Day.

A unique village event and one that attracts all the local associations, businesses and charities to showcase to the thousands of visitors that come along and enjoy the fun.

Lindfield Arts Festival stall has a £1.00 raffle for a large M&S Hamper thanks to NatWest sponsorship along with the chance to print  your own #Bagforlife #LAF shopping bag courtesy of Tidy Print. Of course you can also buy a ready printed bag for jsut £5.00.

Sarah Reynolds

Designed by local artist and #LAF designer Sarah Reynolds these bags are jsut right be be folded away in your bag and used when shopping locally.

You can meet some of the #LAF2018 Team on The Common this afternoon. Hilary Knight will be there, along with Geoff Heath, Mike [Stix] Steer, Claire Fuller, Mark Searle, Julia Vokes and Esme Foster.  If you see them on the Common, say hello and mention that you read this on the website!

Pick up a leaflet and see how to make a scarecrow.  In collaboration with Lindfield in Bloom.

#LAF2018 is also looking for volunteers so be prepared to answer some taxing questions. Can you give us an hour or two on Satruday 22nd September 2018?

Support our fundraising

April 6, 2018 //  by Lynn Tulip//  Leave a Comment

Thank you to all our regular visitors and supporters. You know how much fun the Festival can be. However, do you know how much it costs to put on the Festival year on year, especially when the #LAF Team try to change the format, add different and more exciting activities to the programme.

Yes, the Festival has a  budget of £20,000 and #LAF Team of volunteers work tirelessly to attract funding from a wide range of opportunities including Local Authorities, Grant Funders, Friends of the Festival and business sponsors as well as our own fund-raising efforts which this year will include the sale of a reusable, bag-for-life tote shopping bag.  As a charity we are dependent on donations and financial support.

One of the easy ways that you can help us is by registering on EasyFundraising and choosing Lindfield Arts Festival as ‘your cause’.  Every time you
online shop, you can ‘click the donation button’ on the EasyFundraising site and Lindfield Arts Festival will receive a small percentage of your final shopping bill. It will not cost you ANYTHING. Yes, no charge to you but very helpful for us.

It is very simple!

#DitchThePlastic

April 5, 2018 //  by Lynn Tulip//  Leave a Comment

Thanks to Aquapax, we are already in ‘DitchThePlastic’ mode and hoping for a ‘plastic free’ festival using the donated water to refresh both visitors and volunteers.

Neil Tomlinson says “The ever-increasing consumer demand for convenient, pure, additive-free, portable drinking water, is clear! Hence our passion for Aquapax. Most of the wholly recyclable carton material is paperboard made from trees, sourced from sustainably renewed, FSC Certified forests.”

And, from June you will be able to buy our very own #LAF shopping bags.  Come and visit us on 2nd June 2018 on The Common for Village Day and either buy a pre-printed bag or PRINT YOUR OWN!

How much fun will that be? Printing your own sustainable, reusable shopping bag will be easy and give you a sense of purpose as you circulate round the stalls and add your purchases.  And then you’ll have a bag-for-life to use in all the Village Shops for years o come.  How good is this?
